There are so many wedding books out there–it’s crazy! I have a number of them, but this was the only one I liked. The rest seemed judgemental, especially if you didn’t want (or couldn’t afford) a “traditional” wedding. KISS Guide to Planning a Wedding was great and very supportive for those of us who wanted to “pick and choose” which traditions we included in our ceremonies.

I became a fan of Stephanie Pedersen’s writing upon reading her beauty book (KISS Guide to Beauty). When it was time to get married, of course I had to buy this. I’m glad I did. Of the four wedding guides I have, this is my favorite. It’s smart, sassy, funny and kind…that last is important since most wedding books are so snooty. I know some people like that kind of thing, but it makes me a bit ill. Anyway, this book is great. It’s also my husband’s favorite and is written to both bride and groom, with special sections for each spouse.
