I became a fan of Stephanie Pedersen's writing upon reading her beauty book (KISS Guide to Beauty). When it was time to get married, of course I had to buy this. I'm glad I did. Of the four wedding guides I have, this is my favorite. It's smart, sassy, funny and kind...that last is important since most wedding books are so snooty. I know some people like that kind of thing, but it makes me a bit ill. Anyway, this book is great. It's also my husband's favorite and is written to both bride and groom, with special sections for each spouse.

There are so many wedding books out there--it's crazy! I have a number of them, but this was the only one I liked. The rest seemed judgemental, especially if you didn't want (or couldn't afford) a "traditional" wedding. KISS Guide to Planning a Wedding was great and very supportive for those of us who wanted to "pick and choose" which traditions we included in our ceremonies.
